Special Accessible Event - Sunday 27th September 2026
During public ride weekends, we recognise that it can be difficult for some of our visitors to cope with both the crowds and the queuing - spoiling their enjoyment of the occasion.

We are therefore holding another private, accessible and welcoming family event, so that rides can be enjoyed without undue pressure between 1-3pm on Sunday 27th September.

Sponsored by the wonderful Rugby Rokeby Lions Club, for the 2 hour event, our special guests can enjoy unlimited rides on trains absolutely FREE of charge.

Please note that this event is by application only!

To apply, please contact Gill Nelson at special.event.rmes@gmail.com, who will log your application and later confirm if you are successful.

Refreshments will be on sale, but feel free to bring your own picnic to our safe and private grassy area.

You can learn more about the event by clicking the poster, or visit the RMES website to discover more about us.
Update: Success! Funds raised for life-saving equipment
We've raised funds to purchase and install a defibrillator and a heated, all-weather external cabinet at Rainsbrook Valley Railway. This ensures the device remains rescue-ready and accessible to any of our volunteers or visitors at all times.
